ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF COMPUTER




Objective:

(i) At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to state advantages and disadvantages of computer

 ADVANTAGES OF COMPUTER

1. Speed business transactions

2. Easy collaboration and communication

3. Access to knowledge and Information

4. Flexible interaction such as teleconferencing, video conferencing, telepresence  e.t.c

5. Media integration such as connecting a mobile phone to a laptop

6. It provides immediate access to data

7. Assist with decision making

8. Automation: A lot of task are automated, saving a lot of time.

9. Large Storage Capacity

10. Computers are accurate


                                DISADVANTAGES OF COMPUTER

1. They are expensive

2. Virus attack

3. Computer Crime

4. Hacking

5. Internet Fraud

6. It leads to job losses

7. Fragile devices and can break easily.

8. Addiction syndrome

9. Extra cost of training users

10. Computer equipment are harmful to the environment if not disposed properly.
