             ABUSES/ DISADVANTAGES  OF THE INTERNET

1. It is used by imposters to defraud people

2. Piracy of Software

3. Exposure to pornography

4. Hacking : the gaining of unauthorized access to data in a system

5. Plagiarism : the practice of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as one's own.

6. Computer Virus : malicious software, or malware, that spreads between computers and causes damage to data and software

7. Cyber crime :  any criminal activity that involves a computer, networked device or a network in order to generate profit for the cybercriminals.

8. Spamming : This is  the use of electronic messaging systems like e-mails and other digital delivery systems and broadcast media to send unwanted bulk messages indiscriminately.

9. Phishing :  the fraudulent practice of sending emails or other messages purporting to be from reputable companies in order to induce individuals to reveal personal information, such as passwords and credit card numbers.

10. It aids cheating during examination
